From the beginning of his career, Ting Wei has been heavily involved in construction disputes and has had an array of opportunities representing various stakeholders in the construction industry, such as developers, contractors, architects and engineers.
Ting Wei has also been involved in arbitration proceedings pursuant to both the Persatuan Architect Malaysia (PAM) and the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) arbitration rules, and regularly represent both the Unpaid Party and the Non-Paying Party in CIPAA proceedings.
Nevertheless, Ting Wei’s practice is not limited to construction disputes only, as he is regularly sought for in other areas of disputes and proceedings ranging from contractual disputes, tortious claims, tenancy / strata related matters, fraudulent trading, debt recovery, winding up / bankruptcy and all execution proceedings. When he is not attending to disputes, Ting Wei provides legal opinions and advice, and review and draft agreements.
Armed with these experiences, Ting Wei is capable, analytical and innovative – thus ensuring that Our Clients’ needs and objectives are delivered and satisfied.
Hui Juan is an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya whose practice encompasses dispute resolution, corporate advisory, criminal defence and family law, with particular experience in construction and commercial disputes, divorce proceedings and cross-border matters before all levels of the Malaysian courts and in arbitration proceedings.
Hui Juan has acted in both domestic and international arbitrations involving the PAM Conditions of Contract, AIAC Arbitration Rules, IEM, FIDIC and PWD Standard Form of Contract in the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and Asian International Arbitration Centre. She has also been actively involved in CIPAA proceedings.
Throughout her practice, Hui Juan represents a diverse range of local and overseas clients, including major corporations, financial institutions, listed companies and professionals. Her experience includes advising and representing industry leaders in the oil and gas, energy, construction, engineering, automotive manufacturing sector, real estate, healthcare and co-working sectors.
Beyond contentious matters, Hui Juan advises companies on commercial agreements, contractual risk management and corporate documentation, including tenancy agreements. Her corporate experience also extends to initial public offerings (IPOs), due diligence and mergers and acquisitions, including being part of the team that assisted with the listing of a division on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX).
Her experience across multiple practice areas and jurisdictions enables her to assess legal issues from a broader commercial and practical perspective, with a solution-oriented approach focused on achieving her clients' objectives.
Her work has received recognition from Benchmark Litigation, which described her as “very helpful and responds fast.” She has also contributed to legal publications, including co-authoring Manoeuvring Corporate Governance in Malaysia: Litigation Perspectives (LexisNexis Malaysia, March 2021) and Construction Law – Time in Construction (CLJ Malaysia, July 2023).
